Scenes from a mall…
I had a busy morning… I woke up early… because of some pain in my back… it was seering pain I tell you… I was dreaming that I was reaching for something and in reality I instinctually reached for it… then felt my back exploding with intense needle like pain… I stood up and clawed my way to the bathroom to take a piss… I have no idea why I did that… because it never relieved the pain… oh well, maybe the urge to piss is a better driver than pain… hehehe… alas I digress because this story has nothing to do with the mall, since I ended up going back to sleep…
I woke up again around 10:00 AM.. had my breakfast… and of course the unescapable cup of joe… took a bath… watched the pacers vs cleveland game… which we of course won… hehehe… for eye candy I saw Reggie shooting a three… I don’t know what’s with me and ballers shooting the long ball?

Then finally plopped my ass into my brother’s car in order to run some errands in the mall… I finally gave up on the less than 850 monitor repair since time is of the essence… I parked in a slot closer to the computer shops entrance since I knew I would be lugging a bulky 17″ monitor to the 3rd floor… I went to Brochiere and dropped off the monitor… I tell you, service was slow… they were more concerned with fixing up than getting my business… oh well, that’s what happens if you don’t have any competition… they seem to be the only stall who’s offering any pc and monitor repair…

Went to the PC shops on the otherside to look for the SD card… I decided to buy in the mall since it would only be a P120 difference with the one offering at TipidPC… no time to wait for me…

Then went around wanting to try Netopia… for the sake of trying a netcafe… incase I’d want to put up a shop for myself… but then it suddenly dawned on me that I wanted to buy a cd of command and conquer generals… I went to the shop where they sold game CD’s on the other side of the store…
Heading on there I stopped at compex and did some minor window shopping where I bumped into a highschool friend… well at first I thought it was all in my mind that somebody was calling me until he called me again… nice to have seen him… he works in one of the well known international schools… I found out some sad news about one of his brother’s as well as the death of his father… his other brother was working in cavite, right infront of our company… talk about small world I told him… then we said our goodbye’s and we both walked our separate ways…
When I arrived at the site where the cd shop was, their stall wasn’t there anymore… I was already predicting the demise of this shop because of the way they arranged their software… very magulo… if you were a customer you’d get frustrated trying to look through their titles which lacked any arrangement…. it would make Dewey roll in his grave… you really have to put yourself in your customer’s shoes…
A few blocks from where they were I saw a shop that sold stickers… For the sake of wanting to figure out how they did it I asked to have a sticker made… nothing fancy… what I thought to be as a printer was nothing but an automated cutter… what they fed to it was like some colored sticker material where the outline of it was cut… after stripping away the parts that weren’t required, they were left with the finished product which they pasted on the clear sticker material…. they also make the stickers for the signage of zagu… why is it I keep running into the suppliers of zagu?… or is it because the franchisee’s have such free hand into the sourcing of their materials… to make a huge sticker like signage, it will cost about P600/sq ft… good enough I think. Here’s a sample of the sticker I bought…

It cost me 40 bucks… plus another P70 for the other one I had personally made… since they didn’t have any change for my P200, they gave it to me at a square P100… talk about trying to build customer loyalty… hehehe…mutually beneficial to both eh?
The software they were using was corel draw… they just left the outline fromt he solid picture so that their cutter will just trace the outline… quite simple eh?
