Many businesspeople still haven’t realized that days of caveat emptor are long gone. Business thinking is now the exact opposite. Today the unwritten rule is: Let the seller beware! Business researchers discovered that the single reason people don’t buy – it is thought to be a staggering 80 percent of all the reasons – is that they perceive some level of risk in doing business with you. Therefore, it stands to good reason that if you, as a seller, are able to do something to remove the risk – real or perceived – you will then have an automatic 80 percent better chance of completing every business transaction.
